I think the majority of my thought is dominated by a discontent with the way the world works; sort of one of those cliche, “no one asked me my opinion” feelings. I found an old poem the other day while I was packing sort of bringing to light this idea. Right now I’m sitting in my last Philosophy class of the semester talking about Nietzsche discussing basically the same thing. I love connections.

wow, I haven’t signed into this account in months. I got a different tumblr to serve a different purpose, but I think I may continue to post some stuff on this one seeing as there seemed to have been a good amount of activity on it.

I’m pretty sure you’re a robot

I absolutely cannot wait to head back home, make noise with instruments with my friends, get Turkey Hill Iced Tea, go to Abes, and ride bikes like it’s no one’s fucking business. And, of couse, see her.  

People often accuse this Y Generation for being spoiled rotten and delusions of ridiculous aspirations. This is completely true. However, why are we under fire? It’s the past generations who fucked us all up. Why is it that nearly all, if not all, parents insist that their kid is going to be a doctor or neurologist or surgeon? Its one hundred percent possible and those types of aspirations should be encouraged, but chances are that your kid is not a doctor. It’s not the end of the world. Now your kid has a chance to decide how he or she can be happy with their future minus your insistent nagging. I bring this up because how many times I’ve seen people recieve grades in the B- to A- range and their parents acted absolutely ridiculous. ” How do you expect to get into medical school with a grade like that on your trascript.” Shut the fuck up and let your kid be a kid. They have 60+ years to accomplish stuff and even if it is less, do you want them to waste what little time that they have? I’m not saying schooling is a waste ( Hell, I’ve got 9 years of higher education left ) but make sure you at least think you want something before you go wasting that kind of time. And just live. At the rate that perfection is being demanded, soon it will absolutely ridiculous, to the point where the only possible way of landing a mundane job will be to be nonhuman; to give up on all possible joy in life and devote all your time to better yourself in one way. Let’s be well rounded, ya know? I don’t know. This is one big damn ramble. Sorry.

Hypothesis:

If everyone calms down, everyone will be healthier and happier and we can all move that much closer to the ever-evasive Utopia none of us have ever seen.
